To legally act as a real estate broker, a license issued by the Ministry of Justice is required. Only a licensed broker is entitled to receive brokerage fees.(Section 14(a)(1) of the Brokers Law).

The Brokers Law stipulates a list of cumulative conditions for entitlement to brokerage fees. Note that failure to meet even one condition precludes payment of brokerage fees. These conditions are outlined in Section 14 of the Brokers Law.
